This journal is old.

But please don't delete it.

I started here six years ago.

I've since moved on to another name.

But I wouldn't want to see all my old entries go poof.

I cannot BELIEVE the shit-spewing over at [info]rent_the_movie. Just because some of us are nitpicking the changes on the soundtrack DOES NOT MEAN WE HATE IT. Get over it. You think the Phantom fans didn't nitpick the changes when Phantom came to the big screen? HAH! Just because they're changes, and just because we don't necessarily enjoy them, does not mean that it's omgwtfhorrible.

So please, everyone, shut the fuck up, take a deep breath, and remember what this movie is about. There you go.

I'm currently downloading the entire brand new Rent Soundtrack that's not even due to be released until next week.

I love the internet.

Of course, I'm still going to buy the CD itself. No worries. :)

[ mood | mellow ]

Well. Lets see. Went to my mom's house with Geoff and grandpa last sunday night for a little mini-picnic and bonfire thing. They made their own enclosed fire pit out of bricks. Yay. It was fun. Much marshmallows were to be had.

Played alot of Soul Calibur II over the week. Had to return it tonight though. Meh. No biggie. Autumn and Beau came over a couple of nights during the week too. Also called over 70 dentists offices in the central CT area, to only find ONE that takes my insurance - and they're not accepting new clients until october. Gah. October 1st, 8am, I'll be on the phone.

I TOTALLY forgot about Choral Society starting last monday. I felt like such an idiot. But it's okay, you can still join up until the 3rd rehearsal. I talked to grandpa about it, and it was apparent that they wouldn't be able to pay the dues for it, so Geoff offered. I'm still working out feeling guilt when people do things like that for me. But in the words of a good friend, "Just shut up and enjoy it!" So, I start tomorrow night at 7:30. I'm very excited to be able to sing again.

So Geoff came up after work in friday and we met up with Cameron and saw Fantastic Four at the 2nd run movie theatre in Forestville. Found out they're showing RHPS next weekend. Score. We stayed in most of yesterday because of the rain, then got chinese for dinner and watched Dogma.

I was up all night chasing a cricket around. I was ready to blow my top. Grr. I eventually just gave up and made Geoff get up so we could go to the monthly breakfast at the Masonic Temple. Had a good breakfast for 5 bucks, and the money goes toward the scholarship fund, so that was good. Then we went shopping at Walmart in Bristol for a few new shirts for him, and I finally got the brown tiered gypsy/boho skirt I wanted! Wee!

We also took a drive up past the church - the grafitti is sickening - as well as into the beautiful back roads of Burlington. The trees are starting to turn, the weather was gorgeous, and it was a beautiful ride. We stopped at Lamson Corner Cemetery so I could check up on things, and there has been alot more vandalism since the last time we were there, unfortunately. That makes me sick too. People have no respect.

We poked around in the new Goodwill store on Route 6. I found the cutest Bunny pillow for a dollar. It's a pillow that is fuzzy and has a bunny face, that when you kind of fold it in half, it secures with velcro, and you can hug it. It's a HUGGA BUNNA! I love her. ^_^

Stopped at the hotdog place called Frankies on route 6. Never been there before. Pretty good dogs.

Came home and napped for awhile since I was exhausted from cricket hunting. Later on we returned Soul Calibur and went to the car wash and cleaned out and vaccuumed his car. Stopped on the way home at the gas station ($2.97), then came home and played with the Pokemon Pinball GameBoy game Geoff got for free on the GC GB adapter. People bring in things to trade that EB won't take, and they just say they don't want them, so Geoff takes 'em. ^_^ It was cute. I ended up falling asleep when we came in here, and he woke me up briefly to say goodbye, but didn't make me get up. I'm up now though.

So, on the agenda:

Monday: 7:30 Rehearsal. Wow, it feels so good to say that again.
Tuesday: Tisanes, anyone? 9ish?
Wednesday: Nothing, as of yet. Most likely watching Autumn later in the evening.
Thursday: I think Autumn's open house is then, and if I'm done with that in time, and when Geoff gets here after work, CTCon delegation to CCSU around 8 for Japan Club meeting.
Friday: Court in Waterbury to fight that stupid ticket Geoff got a few months ago for apparently going too slow in the left lane. Hm. I'd think when it's raining and you have to get off a left hand exit, you wouldn't be speeding. Right? Stupid asses. RHPS @ Forestville Theatres at 9pm (who's coming?)
Saturday: Pagan Pride Day, Wallingford. RHPS again at 9, maybe. Geoff DOES have to work. Meh. :/ Anyone want to go? Please? Anybody?
Sunday: Might finally make it to the Big E? o.O There's a CTCon meeting, but it's just elections that I can't vote in anyway, so what's the point? If we don't go to the Big E, then we'll probably go to the meeting.

I swear, to whatever deity that is in charge of these little shits, I'll do anything to make them go away.

I have enough issues going to sleep at a decent hour on my own, thanks. The incessant chirping is enough to drive me completely insane.

I can't even FIND the suckers anymore.
